"Just over ten years ago, Dagmar came to my class at the newly-opened Virayoga and asked me if I'd ever be interested in teaching a yoga retreat. I'd never done so, it hadn't even crossed my mind. She told me she'd be opening a yoga studio down there and I'd be the first to lead a retreat group. I signed on for the adventure, and was forever grateful for that experience and the many that followed thereafter at Dagmar's haven. Ten years later, amidst hundreds of retreats annually in Costa Rica, Montezuma Yoga is one paradise that stands out among the rest. Dagmar and her team have a level of professionalism, hospitality and care that is unrivaled. The food on her retreats is always of a superb quality, nourishing and satisfying even to the most discriminating of clients, and of course the yoga pavilion boasts one of the most idyllic views on Earth. I'm proud to have been the first teacher at Montezuma Yoga, and I cannot wait to return. "

Waking The Dragon workshop
February 10th-12th, 2012
with Sean Trebor, Santa Fe www.dragontreecenter.com
Sean inspires the deepening of our connection with instinct and intuition in his clear, powerful holding of space. His passion is to support the discovery of harmony in balancing complementary forces within the context of a complete yogic practice. His non-dogmatic approach is always fresh and light, borrowing from any possible thread that may be woven into a daily tapestry of relevant meaning. Sean helps students clear the deep belly and inner realm, inspiring the peace and power of being one with the breath of life.
Yoga holds a profound power to awaken our truest selves. A Dragon dwells within us, a magical force coiled deep in our bellies that yearns to be discovered and released. The rising of the Dragon brings with it our deepest sense of instinct, intuition, and inner knowing.
In this special weekend workshop, we will explore the dance of the Dragon as the union of left and right, and of the subtle relationships in the energetic and structural body. Utilizing reflective sequencing, a method of balancing the body through the use of asymmetrical posture sequencing, we will find the release of our inner strength as our primordial dance meets the modern practice of yoga. Prices: single class fri $25, sat/sun $35
Waking The Dragon Workshop all weekend $115, early bird $100 (discounted rates for residents)

This 7 day yoga immersion in Montezuma, Costa Rica with Banyan will center on a deeper understanding of yoga and tantra, the ancient yogic science of techniques designed to help us overcome our limitations. Banyan's deep and yet playful approach will inspire a loving self-inquiry and a new direction to your practice. All levels of student are welcome.
Each day we will have two sessions together.
The morning session, from 7-9 am, will be a more solar, physical practice to help us wake, detox and prepare for the day. The afternoon session, usually 5:30 - 7:00pm, will be on the more subtle side focusing on philosophy, breathwork, meditation, and inversions. The schedule is designed to maximize free time so we can explore everything the Nicoya Peninsula has to offer.
Two healthy, gorgeous meals a day are included, as well as accommodation and a snorkeling trip to the even more remote Tortuga island. The retreat is held seconds away from the beach, and minutes away from a jungle waterfall, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. So whether you crave a day alternating between hammocks and massage tables or cliff-diving and surfing, you'll find a way.
This will truly be a life-changing retreat, with a small, intimate group. Expect to leave more relaxed, invigorated and with more mental clarity on how to live your life to the fullest.
COSTA RICA
ADVENTURE RETREAT March 24-31st 2012
Erica Merrill & Jesse Hozeny
2010 Jesse and Erica decided it would be exciting to start taking their class al fresco, as it were, to Costa Rica. Now on year three, this retreat provides the student a unique opportunity to experience yoga, sound, and music for a whole week in exquisite surrounding.
Erica Merrill began practicing yoga in 1996 while studying exercise physiology at Ball State University in Indiana. She became a serious student of asana while practicing daily over a year with Brian Kest in Santa Monica, California. She began teaching yoga upon her return to Chicago in 2001. In 2002, she completed David Swenson’s Ashtanga Teacher Training. Her growing passion for yoga lead her to yogaview in Chicago, where her practice and teaching have been greatly influenced by the instruction of Tom Quinn, Claire Mark, and Quinn Kearney. In 2006, she completed the very first yogaview teacher training. Jesse Hozeny is a drummer, music producer, and dj from Chicago. He started playing live for Erica's yoga classes over five years ago as an experiment to see if the music could support and enhance yoga practice by helping the practitioner let go and drop into the experience. Jesse's music/dj'ing is the perfect complement to Erica's challenging, intelligent, Vinyasa-flow teaching. She is succinct, safe, and clear with her cues, yet her easy-going style creates lots of space for the music, which allows for an interesting co-creative process.

7-Day Immersion into Nature with Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Live Music from The Hang
May 12th - 19th 2012 The Sanctuary At Two Rivers, Cabuya, Costa Rica
The universe works in magical ways and sometimes we cannot imagine at the moment where the flow of life will take us.....
About 20 years ago my partner Daniel arrived in Costa Rica to start the Vision Quest of his life, leaving behind his career as an artist in Switzerland, to find new values while immersing himself deeper into nature. He found the pure nature of Cabuya back then to be the only real teacher and started creating his new life by building his own little sanctuary off the grid between two pristine rivers with waterfalls and abundant wildlife. After 12 years he followed the call back into the "world" and passed on the project to Jeff Gossett and Perrey Reeves, who continued to expand the project into their own magical vision. Over the last couple of years they build one of the world's most beautiful yoga retreat centers that is now open to be shared with like minded people who seek to immerse themselves in nature.
We are very honored to be invited to share and celebrate this union by holding our next Vinyasa Yoga & Hang Music Retreat at the Sanctuary At Two Rivers. We had an amazing experience during our retreat in Tulum last January and are very much looking forward to share another week with you in a spectacular natural setting.
We would love to guide you as you deepen your practice on and off the mat. Give yourself a week in one of the worlds most beautiful places to get inspired and recharged. Flow is much easier to find when you have a combination of nature, yoga & music!
Please visit the official website of The Sanctuary At Two Rivers to find more infos, photos and pricing on our retreat and don't hesitate to contact us for further questions or to reserve your space.
